About

I am currently an elementary technology teacher at Kamehameha Schools on the Hawai’i Campus and a graduate of the Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) program at Michigan State University.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Michigan State University.  I have a bachelor’s degree  in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics and a minor in music.  I am certified to teach K-5 and 6-8 Mathematics. I have also earned my educational technology certificate.

As I continue my teaching journey, I would like to broaden my horizons.  One of my teaching goals is to teach somewhere new.  I would love to teach in another state, maybe even overseas.  My hope is that this experience will help me grow as a teacher and open my eyes to many new ideas.

I have many hobbies which include dancing, running, music, and traveling.  In October 2011, I ran my first marathon. Last summer, I completed my first two triathlons.  I love all types of music and can play many different instruments.  I was a member of the Spartan Marching Band during college, which was a great learning experience. But, most of all, I love kids and I love learning!  When I teach, I am doing what I love.
